If you had to choose, which would it be for one day, RD to about 3/3:30? We are planning MNSSHP but would like to do either Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. It will be just me and DD16. Any thoughts?
Tough call. I prefer DHS so that would be my pick, but it really depends on what you and your DD like. You could easily hit the headliners and then some in either park during that time frame.
My favorite thing to do is to get there for RD (or have an 8 am ADR at Tusker House) and grab a Safari FP and then walk right into the Pangani Forest trail. It's always just me and the CM's - maybe one other family - because everyone else is running to KS or EE. So, I can take my time, have the place to myself, so peaceful! By the time I'm done, my FP window has arrived and I stroll right onto the very next Safari truck....since no one else in handing in FPs yet!
After that, Expedition Everest, Festival of the Lion King, Maharajah Jungle Trek and Flights of Wonder are my must dos. I do ask the CMs near the Rafiki Train what the surgeries are that morning as I head out of Safari. If it's something cool, I'll head over there and check it out. On my honeymoon (almost 14 years ago) they had the male lion in for a check up and teeth cleaning...that only happens once a year, so we were very lucky!
HS. Head straight to Toy Story Mania, grab a fastpass then ride it. Next Rock n Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror till fastpass time is up then grab a fastpass for Rock n Rollercoaster. Go ride Toy Story with fast pass and then Star Tours till fastpass is time for Rock n Rollercoaster. Spend the rest of your day doing the less popular attractions.
