How long is the walk from HRH to city walk? Can you walk from HRH to US or IOA? We stayed at RPR in 2002 but we really didn't explore the property only the parks. My 8 year old saw HRH on the tv and wants to stay there next time.

HRH is the closest hotel to CityWalk and the parks. It is less than a five minute walk. Very convenient.

This will be our third trip to HRH in July since 2001. We walk everywhere from there!! It truly is the most convenient hotel on property. We love it. The pool is to die for and the walk isn't bad at all. If you get tired after a long day in the park....just take the boat back!

All I can say is DO IT!!!.. My kids 10 and 7 LOVED this place. Everything about it...from the beds to the pool. I was shocked, b/c they are used to staying at WDW hotels. If you get lucky you can grab the boat from city walk that takes you to the front of the hotel. But if you are coming from the parks....I found it easier to just walk.

Note that depending on which park you're in and where your room is in the HRH, taking the boat may involve more walking (walking to the dock at City Walk then from the Dock at the HRH to your room). You'd actually be hard pressed saving any walking from USF to the HRH if you come out the side exit of USF that's available (but hardly ever used by anyone I've seen) ... maybe if your room is right by the hotel entrance by the boat ramp it would save you some walking ...

Thanks for the info. I have just started planning for trip next summer my kids will be 9 and 6 then and they love all kinds of music! The pool really does look cool. I'm hoping to be able to have a resort day. Last time at wdw we took one and loved it of course we were at AKL so how could you go wrong there. We were thinking about RPR again but I'm thinking that HRH looks much more our style. Thanks again Leah

If you turn left immediately after exiting USF, there's a gate in the back corner that comes out right where the bus pick-up is for the resorts ... I always forget about it myself, but it is the fastest way to the HRH after leaving USF ... it will only save a minute or two, but seeing as we're only talking about a five minute walk to begin with, it is significant relatively speaking.
