HRH rooms available in March

Well, I have four nights booked for the HRH in March. The room is at rack rate which is $269/night. I was hoping for a discount but it doesn't look like that will happen so I decided to shorten my stay by two nights and stay at Disney two nights longer. When I called the HRH to adjust my reservation from 4 nights to 2 nights, they told me there were no available rooms for only 2 nights. I explained that I already had the room booked and paid for so if I cancelled 2 nights, my room was still reserved for 2 nights. They told me that I couldn't have the room for only 2 nights. This is really unbelievable! I have never stayed at the HRH before but now I am really hesitant to even bother. We have only stayed at Disney before and have never visited Universal. I'm not sure it is worth it. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Did you try booking online? If I enter the date of March 12 to March 14, I get a rate of 237 (annual pass) and it gives me no restrictions on time. i also get the same thing if I use the CAA rate. (enter AAA, it is the same thing and honoured at the hotels)

I think the problem is my dates. I am going at Easter, March 24-26. There are no vacancies showing for those dates.
