We will be making our first visit to US/IOA at the end of June. We will be staying at the HRH!:bounce:

Here are a few questions:

1. Can adults accompany young children on the water slide or is it restricted for single riders only?

2. Do they still show movies on Friday nights? What time? Can you see the movie from the pool or is it in a different area?

3. Do they still have live bands on Saturday nights? What time?

4. Is FOTL offered on every ride or just the headliners? I have a 5 y/o who will be riding the Cat in the Hat etc...

Thanks! These boards have been great for planning our trip!

Hi FOV,

Welcome to the Dis. I am by far No expert but You are allowed on the slide (we were on it all last June) but it is only one rider at a time.

Secondly every ride has front of line access from what I can remember about IOA we were there 2 years ago so it is foggy.

I don't remember the bands or the movies but I'm not certain as to whether we were there on a weekend or not. But I have read about the movies here.

You can always call to verify or maybe someone else will chime in here.

Have a great time Hard Rock is an exceptional hotel and you can't beat that front of line access!

We check in the 5th of July, looks like we'll just miss ya.

Have a great time,
Lisa

Yes they still have friday night movies. They are at 8:00 p.m. They were showing Goldmember when we were there. Not exactly for young children, but it was spring break. A lot of high schoolers there. They bring out extra floats so you can lay in the pool and watch. They set up the screen in the beach area.

They do have single riders on the slide. They have vests for smaller children.

fotl is not on every ride, but it is on the majority of them. Ptranedon flyers(sp), one fish two fish doesn't. cat in the hat does.

They had bands on sat when i was there, but that may have been for mardi gras, i saw band listings through 4/26, but not sure of afterwards.

One Fish, Two Fish does have FOTL. You go around the right side Iif you're facing the ride) of the ride and enter there. As stated, Pteranadon Flyers doesn't have it, so if you want to do that (we all rode and liked it, but I was terrified) you will need to do that first thing at opening. Most everything else had it, even shows.

I can't add to the answers but just wanted to wish you a fun trip. The pool at HRH is wonderful and I bet that you'll spend a lot of time there. My 10 year old son proclaimed HRH as the coolest hotel in Orlando and is asking to stay there next time. We'll see... :)

My bad! I swear I did not see the express when I was there a couple of weeks ago for one fish two fish! Bummer. My daughter really wanted to do that, but the line was kind of long. I must be blind!

We used the express at One Fish Two Fish when we were there in January. There wasn't a line, but it was a shorter way to get to the ride.

Shpedly, Bummer about not seeing the express. My husband did that at Woody Woodpecker Coaster at US. He waited awhile in line with our 3yo and I eventually wandered over to the exit to see if they were out yet and spotted the subtle FOTL entrance for resort guests. By then they were close to the front of the line and just waited it out. Of course I called him on his cell phone and told him what he'd missed, me being the nice wife that I am. :o

That's funny. Hwen we were there, I asked the girl that worked there near the front of the line if they had express, and she said no. The girls had to wait in line for that one, but it went fairly fast. The ride itself is like 30 seconds!

She was either new or didn't realize that you were a Hotel guest. Or it could be something else. I could probably speculate all day, but I will spare you all and stop here. The Express entrance was definately there at One Fish Two Fish when we were there in January.

For One Fish, Two Fish they have express, but I think for the Woody Woodpecker Coaster it's not really express, but a special entrance (through the exit) for hotel guests.

Yes, I do believe that it is within my job description to harass my husband. We've been married for 20 years, though, and he seems to have forgotten that! :)
