HRH pre check-in / EP / parking

Our group of 4 adults will be visiting the USO parks on 10/14 - 10/15. We are using HRH for one night of a "throw away " room for the night of 10/14. Actually staying offsite @Sheraton Vistana Resort with a vehicle. Looking for a few tips regarding the our first morning the 14th. We have 2 day / park to park admission.

1) What is the earliest we can check in to HRH to receive the room key for EP?
2) Since we have EP, is it necessary to take advantage of Early Admission for US, as it appears the US attractions in our plan all take advantage of EP?
3) I'm trying to determine the best parking /transportation plan for day 1. Should we rideshare to the HRH and back to Vistana when leaving or use our own vehicle? Correct me please if I'm wrong - but HRH charges 28.00 per night and 45 per day. A nice gentleman at the UO 800 line mentioned that if driving, we could park in the temporary 20-minute parking in front of the HRH, pre-register, and then go park in the regular UO parking garage. The $45 charge seems steep, but we would be splitting all parking or ride share charges with another couple. Would really like to know what you think our best options would be. Ride share, park in the HRH lot for the 1st day, parking in the regular UO lot/garage.

You can check in as early as 6:00 a.m.

Early Admission primarily gets you into Diagon Alley before the regular guests arrive. EP isn't available during early admission. So, hitting early park admission really depends on how important the HP area is to your group.

You would only pay the $28 not the additional $45 if you parked at HRH since you have a room reservation there. This would be from your arrival time on check in day until midnight the day of check out. If you are actually spending that night there, that would be the way to go. Even if not, you could park there - in the HRH parking lot - & just use the HRH boats or walk to & from the parks & your vehicle. It would mean returning there to park your second day & returning to HRH to leave when you're done on your second day. That would be your least expensive option.

If not interested in using HRH as the base for parking your vehicle, probably need to price out cost of rideshares back & forth for both days vs. parking at HRH or the main parking garage which is $26 per day.

ETA you'd have to pay for 2 days of parking at the main parking garage at the parks as you cannot leave your vehicle there overnight.

Thanks for your reply! To clarify - this is a "throw away " room scenario and we will not be staying onsite. if we park at the HRH day 1 , the lave and take our car at end of day 1 to stay offsite, and park back at the HRH day 2 ( our last day) the cost would be 28? But if we didn't park back at the hotel day 2, then we'd be charged the higher $45?

Nope, even if you choose to not return to park at the HRH lot again after day 1, it's still just the $28 from check in time day one until midnight the day of checkout because of your one night reservation

The $45 only applies if you park there without a hotel reservation.

& yes, if you use the HRH parking lot for both days - even though you're not staying in the actual room - your total parking charge will be $28, so you'll only pay $14 per day for parking IF you park in the HRH lot both days due to your having a one night HRH reservation.
