HRH Pool View or DLX Queen Question

There will be 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 kids (see ages below). I wanted the Deluxe for all the space, but afraid we won't have view of the parks. I really want to see the fireworks from our room if possible. SOOOOOO my questions for all you veterans is ..... Which would you do? I know the deluxe don't really have pool or garden views. So is the extra space really worth it? Would apprecaite input from those that have stayed in both.

I would not make any decisions based on a pool view. We received a pool view on our last trip on the 4th floor and all we could see is trees and a sparkle of blue when the wind blew.

We chose the pool view for that very reason. I called and requested a room based on what I read here. I wanted room 6090 but was told it wasnt available but that they had one next door that I could get! If you go for the pool view call the hotel and request a pool view room on the 5th floor or above.

That's kinda what I was thinking, I'm afraid we may go crazy in the smaller room. We were all in one room at AKL one year and it was alittle rough. Do you have a pretty good viewing from the pool area?

Yes the pool at HRH is the best place to view the fireworks in my opinion. We were there on the 4th of july 2 years ago, and we could see them clear as day
