One more question and then I'll be out of your hair....at least until the next question pops up.

I booked RPR for May 15-18, but I really wanted the HRH. There aren't any standard rooms left there, however, so I went with RPR. What is the likelihood that less expensive rooms might open up down the line at HRH? I know at Disney there are constant cancellations and that packages need to be paid 45 days out so a few rooms tend to open up at that point in time, but I don't know if there's a window I should be aware of for key times to check on new openings at HRH.

Thanks again!

I would have to say that's really wierd that there are no open hotel rooms for the HRH that far out. You're chances may be small as they accept reservations up to a year out. We made our original reservation in july for RPR during DEC 23-27 but then decided to change last month for the HRH for the "cool" factor. We had no problem changing our resrvation.

I'm going to give this thread a nudge to keep it up top because like you, I have a ressie at one place but craving a room in another (currently booked @ HRH in June, but REALLLLLY wanting PBH!) So an answer to your question is an answer to mine as well!

That said - in one of my conversations with the reservations staff, I asked if there was a "point in time" when blocked-off rooms (for example, for a convention) would be returned to inventory. They said they have no knowledge of when that could occur. I can get all but ONE STINKIN' NIGHT of the week we want - ain't that the pits? Tried for the following week too - but no dice there either. So for now, I have a calendar alarm on my computer and it prompts me to return to the site and check on the status every 3 weeks. As the trip gets closer, it jumps to weekly... then daily. What can I say - I'm desperate. But I've already prepared family for "worst case scenario" (keeping the HRH ressies) and they are ok with that, LOL, especially since they have been there before and know how convenient it is to the parks. God luv 'em, they are so accommodating, but who wouldn't be - I'd sure rather be at HRH than in this chair right now!! :goodvibes

There are still rooms but only Deluxe and higher. I can get a Pool view room if I move my dates back a day but I really can't do that.

Gopherit, (love that name!!!) it's so funny that I'm desperate to switch TO HRH and you're desperate to switch FROM HRH. RPR looks gorgeous and I will be totally fine with staying there too, but my husband and I are both huge music fans so I think it would be cool to be surrounded by music and memorabilia. I'm certainly not complaining either way though!

There is a very good chance that when AAA opens their rates, rooms will suddenly be available. AAA has "blocked" so many rooms, as does AP rates.... Don't give up hope yet :goodvibes
