We stayed in a deluxe room at HRH the last week of August . This is a brief description of the room:
It was pie-shaped, with the wide area near the door, narrower area by the window. (We looked at the emergency exit map on the back of the door, and it looks like all of the deluxe rooms have this type of configuration.) In our room, when you walked in the door the bathroom was to the left, a "study" area to the right. The study area was long and narrow, and consisted of a large closet (mirrored doors), a shelf for luggage, a desk, and the snack refrigerator. Outside of the bathroom on the left was another sink (much larger than the one inside the bath).
On the other side of the study area wall/sink wall were the beds (2 queen size, on the left in our room) and the sofa (butted up against the other side of the closets in the study area). This was one large room, and in addition to the beds/sofa included a dresser (8 drawers) with TV and CD player, small table w/lamp next to the sofa, larger round table and 4 fairly large chairs. I'd like to add that there was plenty of space to walk around - it didn't seem cramped at all.
Anyway, to answer your original question, No - the sofa is not in the study area, it's in the main area with the beds.
