HRH already sold out 08/26-30 next year

Just off the 'phone with Universal reservations.
Was advised that HRH is completely booked out for August 26-30 next year, 1 year in advance - anybody got any ideas as to why ?

Couldn't believe it - also very limited availability PBH and RPR.

Seems very odd to me. Try going thru AAA web site. I did that once when the universal site showed booked.

isn't that last week value season?

its a low period in the park at that time.



many travel agents book up many rooms in blocks for potential clients.
those rooms being held are usually released in the later spring if the ta doesn't sell them.

also, conventions happen frequently at the on site hotels.

last early october the hrh was sold out by mid summer.
Best Buy held their convention there and it was for the award program of employees. they rewarded many employees and their friends/family with a 5 night stay with some convention programs.

i was told it was over 200 people at hrh for that best buy convention.


maybe more rooms will be released by the beginning of next year for august.

book when you can get an opening and then apply any discounts later when they become available.

just checked on-line and rooms are available 08/26/07 to 08/29/07 - apparently to 08/30/07 will be added later today or tomorrow.

Dont know why US told you this but just not correct at least in terms of on-line reservations.

btw you do know that when you call on phone (I believe) you get Universal Studios Vacations (HRH does not have reservations dept) and on line is loews so this might make a difference - actually either way.

Obviously direct reservations must work in a different way.

I really believe that the person you spoke with kinda sorta made a mistake and looked at 2006 instead of 2007 and being as you called on 08/28 for 08/26 of next year OBVIOUSLY THE TIME YOU REQUESTED WAS UNAVAILABLE.

It is the only explanation I can come up with although the people at US Vacations are usually very helpful. Its just that as someone pointed out late August is one of the quietest times of the year at any USF hotel so I did not make any sense.
