How's Yak and Yeti??

I'm contemplating eating here with the in-laws on our next trip. Is it strictly Asian food? I heard the theming inside is awesome and was thinking of trying it out! Thanks!

Never been to the TS part of it, but if the actual restaurant is anything like Yak & Yeti CS, then it's awesome! We love the CS, all the food is soooo good!

Thanks so much! That's exactly what I was looking for, a review with food pictures and the interior of the restaurant. I thought this place looked awesome but DH is a little "if-y". I'll just have to talk him into to it! Now, this isn't on the DP, correct? Thanks so much, I've seen your name on the boards for reviews and such and appreciate your input!

It is on the first page. I liked it especially since I don't love RainForest Cafe so, I like this option better for AK. However, I do feel the food is Americanized but in a good way. I'd definitely eat there again and save room for dessert.

We ate at Yak and Yeti this past week. Had a table on the second floor, so we could look at the windows at the late afternoon crowd going by. We had the tempura shrimp and steak, this was very delicious! It comes with jasmine rice, sticky white rice, I asked for brown rice instead, but it came out with the white rice. Server was a little missing for most of the meal, or I would have taken the time to ask for the rice to be exchanged. I ordered the wontons and pineapple for dessert, very yummy. We will definetly come back here again.

It is not on the Tables in Wonderland Card. Maybe that's what you are thinking...

anyone have any lucky substituting for the chicken fried rice? I know its more expensive but id give up both sides for one small portion of the fried rice

One thing I forgot...the wontons for desert...are they kind of like a sweet crab rangoon?

DH and I loved our entrees, the ribs and steak and shrimp....we did not like the lettuce wraps at all...too much red pepper in them and they had a sweet taste, should have ordered the green beans instead. The pineapple won ton dessert was ick and DH liked the super sweet mango pie.

We would go back again but skip dessert!

We were at AK later one evening, I think for late hours. We were trying to hurry up and find some counter service to eat before most of them closed, we were too late so I stumbled into Yak and Yeti and they took us right away. The food was amazing. We wanted to go again this past trip but at the time we only wanted a chicken fried rice fix for lunch. Sooo good.

I absoultely LOVED the wonton dessert. It's fried wontons with cream cheese in the middle on skewers with pineapple, served with a vanilla sauce and vanilla ice cream. I thought it was the greatest. BTW, I also LOVED the ribs!!

YUM!!

DD and my mom also loved the brownie sundae for 2!

Definitely worth a trip there! The hostess told me it is a Landry restaurant, but they do accept the dining plan.
