How's this sound for MVMCP?

We haven't done MVMCP before, so trying to decide on a plan... Here's what I've got...

We're staying at the Poly, so easy access to the MK. This is one of 3 MK days. One day is our Princess day, one day is our Pirate day, and this would be our Christmas day. We do not specifically hit Adventureland or Tomorrowland here, but those have lots of time on the other days, and we very well could hit either of those during the MVMCP depending on where we want to go at that time (I have no idea what to expect). We're a group of 10... 5 adults and 5 kids 4-12. This is an early-December Tuesday, so not relatively busy.

Rope drop 8am, go to SDMT. Then head over to Storybook Circus. This is the only time on the trip dedicated to the SBC area. Do pretty much any SBC / FL rides we want during this early time (Goofy, Dumbo, Pooh, Teacups, Pan, IASW, whatever).

10:30 - Mermaid (FP+)
11:30 - BOG (lunch)
12:30 - ETWB (FP+)
1:30 - SDMT (FP+)

Then, leave the park (line up a Kiosk FP+ for 7pm for whatever is available for when we return). Go back to the Poly. Put the little ones down for a nap and hit the pool or get drinks.

5:30p - Ohana (dinner)

After that, boat back to the MK. This will be around 6:30 or 7pm.
Enjoy the MVMCP till 11 or 12.

My thoughts are we avoid the busiest times of the day, 2pm-7pm, plus the time when day guests and MVMCP guest overlap (between 4 and 7pm). The BOG and Ohana are already reserved, but could be cancelled.

Thoughts?
Thanks!!

FP+ is not available during parties. We usually make a party day a sleep in lazy day, then head to the park around 4pm eat a meal then start our night hang out till the very end. Your day sounds really busy to me for a party night, even with the planned naps.
Go for it if you think your group can hang on. Also think about what you want to experience before you go the party so you wont be wondering around. The entrance will be very busy when you plan on heading back after Ohanas. have a great time at the party.

There's really not much to work with...? Are you asking for advice, because you sound like you have it all planned out.

There's no fast pass plus during the party, however you probably won't need it as most things are walk ons.

We are having our own Christmas party in the Offical MVMCP thread if you wanna check it out to get tips and ideas.

Looks like a good plan. Theoretically, MK is less busy in the morning on party days, so you should have no problem getting lots of Fantasyland rides done in the morning, then take a break while park is busiest in afternoon and during that overlap. Like others said, there are no FP during party, so the latest 4th FP you could get would be 6-7pm, and you would be hard-pressed to get there with an 'Ohana 5:30pm ADR.

Note also that while the one-hour FP return windows cannot overlap, it is no problem for FPs and ADRs to overlap. You can also usually return 5 minutes early and up to 15 minutes late. My suggestion would be to move 7DMT FP to immediately before BOG lunch, then after Belle you could be out of the park an hour earlier for your afternoon break. And you might not really need FP for Mermaid. PeterPan, Pooh, and Barnstormer lines get longer than Mermaid. I might do something like PeterPan FP 10-11am, 7DMT FP 11am-12pm, Belle FP 12:30-1:30pm.

I'm not sure if it's too much for one day. I haven't bought the MVMCP tickets, but everyone I talk to says to go to it, and this will probably be the only time we'll go around Christmas. I could just as well drop it and stay at the hotel after dinner. Problem is you have to commit to the tickets up front, and I'd rather be able to have dinner, then ask... Ok who wants to go to the party? But of course it doesn't work that way. So I need to either plan for a long day and do it, or not. I could also drop Ohana -- But we haven't eaten there for dinner before, either. Lots of firsts here.

Definitely noted on no more FP's beyond 7pm, didn't know that. So I'd take any SDFP that's avail for 6pm-7pm then.

From rope drop to midnight is a lot for a 4 year old. Even with an afternoon nap! You already have 3 MK days in early December, plenty of time to see and do everything multiple times. I really like MVMCP, but it seams like a waste of money for your group at this time.

Personally, I'd cancel ohana. That restaurant is notorious for seating late and for the meal taking a long time. Plus I always overeat and feel awful afterwards.

You paid special for these party tickets, I like to be at the parks at 4. When if your not there at 4, I really don't think you'd even make it by 7 with a 530 ohana.

Since you have a ressie for Ohana at 5:30 you prob wont leave the poly until after 7 (if seated on time) and then main street will already be busy for the first parade. To get a good view you can watch it from frontierland but then you will have a hard time getting back to see the Holiday Wishes (which is awesome and in my opinion should be viewed from in front of the castle). So that alone will eat up your time from 7-10:30 ish and your little ones might not make it past that.. So you will be spending the extra money on the parade and fireworks.. To see the rare characters you need to get in line earlier than 7...No time to enjoy the rides and dance parties (which are fun)

I would not keep that dinner reservation. Once you eat dinner and travel back to the MK, it's going to be well after 7, the first parade will be going on and the park will be more crowded. More importantly, lines for any meet and greets that you want to do will already be long.

I would go in the morning and follow your morning plan, and try to leave the park by noon (maybe skip BOG that day), nap and plan to be back in the MK no later than 5 but as close to 4 as possible.

And yes, no FP+ after 7pm, but you won't need them anyway.

I fully agree with this. You likely won't be back to MK by 7, and the best opportunity to meet some of the special characters, like the 7 Dwarfs, is to line up at 6:30 so you get them early in the party.

I personally wouldn't spend the $ for a party ticket if I had a regular park ticket for the day. That's a lot of $ for 1 park day. You can get soooo much done if you arrive at 4:00 and stay until the end of the party. I don't know if your younger ones could go that late, however.
