We're thinking of booking our next trip to the World around Dec. 16-23rd, 2007. We'll pbbly go on a short 3 day trip before then. Is it pretty cool during that time? Are the pools Doable? Thanks!

Weather can vary greatly during that time. We've been at WDW 4 times during that time period and have had it as warm as 85 and as cold as 25. When it was 25 at night, the high was about 45. Sometimes we wore our winter coats, hat and gloves. We also had times when we were comfortable in a sweat shirt.
Go prepared for anything.

We could do a short sleeve shirt during the afternoon, with a jacket in the morning and PM. Some PMs added a hat and gloves. We didn't do pools, but there were some kids in them. They are heated.

ANOTHER GREAT TIME OF YEAR TO VISIT! My best visit ever was during this week a few years ago! The first day was in the 50s, the last was in the 80s. Very short lines. Beautiful decorations. a wonderful time to be in the world!

Plan for anything & watch the weather close to your trip to get a better idea. I have had Dec trips where we swam & others where we were layering everything we had packed to stay warm. The bulk of the days were comfy in the low 70's with evenings/mornings in the low-mid 50's, if I recall correctly.

Last year it was strange! The beginning of the trip was chilly and by the end of the trip it felt like summer! :)

Spent a very pleasant December week in Orlando a while back. Daytime highs were in the upper 70's, nighttime lows in the mid 50's, no rain. :cool1:

I can echo these same thoughts, very accurate. Best time of the year, IMO.

That is my favorite time to go because of the cooler weather.

Like many have already posted; We have had trips during that time in which we wore shorts all day, times when we had shorts during the day but much colder at night, and times were we were in jeans and sweaters during the day and winter coats at night.

You just never know. The weather for our last trip in December said high 70's low high 50's.........Yeah, I don't think it went past 60 ever and was down in the 40's at night. So be prepared for anything LOL

Have fun! That is the best time to go :)

Just make sure you either pack some sweatshirts and long pants for it gets cooler at night. Nothing like Buffalo cold

I think we must have been there the same time. The first few days we had gloves and hats on but on the day we were leaving it was t-shirts and shorts. That's Florida for ya :sunny:

We went 4 years ago at the beginning of December and it was cold and rainy the whole week. Not so cold that you needed gloves but cold enough I was happy to have brought longer pants and closed toe shoes. I agree with many of the previous posters - layering is a must!

As others have pointed out - the WX at this time of year is variable. We have pictures from several December trips where we are in t-shirts and shorts one day and a couple of days later we are wearing everything we brought. Be sure to pack layers, so some combination will be appropriate for whatever you get.
