How's Restaurant Marrakesh for two DD's ages 5 and 7? Do you sit on the floor? Belly dancing? Just need to know if appropriate. I'm thinking they would get a kick out of it but want to hear from the pro's...please?! Thanks for any report!!

Unfortunately - you don't sit on the floor like Moroccan restuarants in metro areas, but, they do have live music and a belly dancer, and the restuarant itself is quite beautiful. When we were there the belly dancer (who was also the singer/dancer in the group MoRockin that performs outside and is one of, we think, the best performance groups in Epcot) brought children up on the dance floor with her and had them try to belly dance. The food was good, the atmosphere was great, and the wait staff was excellent.

This is on our list to revisit some day, but we haven't made it back yet! Everyone in our party - even the youngest (9 yo at the time) enjoyed this restaurant a lot and wants to go back. (Note, however, that we all think of couscous as a mainstream food.) Oh and if you go, try the mint tea. It is very good and very refreshing, even on a hot day.

We like it a lot, and so does my 8-year-old. He had a kebob with fries and ice cream for dessert. I recommend lunch b/c you can get a really neat meal that has a couple appetizers for a reasonable cost. I'll second the recommendation about the mint tea.

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! We have a 6pm ps but may change to a lunch ps per tarheel's recommendation. Thank you both for your recommendations and comments. I love the story about the children belly dancing. Can't wait!!! Thanks again, you guys are the best!!!!

Another confirmation that Restaurant Marrakesh is a good choice for you and your family. It truly is a pretty restaurant where the service has always been excellent. We always enjoy our meal and always have to get the iced mint tea. My daughter too has been brought onto the floor to dance and it was a lot of fun. In matter of fact, I too was brought up to belly dance but that couldn't have been too pleasant for the other diners :)

scrapaholic -- Look at the menus at wdwig.com to decide whether to do lunch or dinner. We have 5 people, 4 ordering adult meals, so the price difference is huge for us -- it's a lot less for families without so many big eaters. We also add a 10% AP discount at lunch time.

This is sooo great, thank you again one and all. Great reminder tar heel, we also have AP's and can get the 10% discount at lunch which I had forgotten about. Guess I need to make some adjustments. Thank you so much, these boards are great and you people are the greatest...thanks for sharing your experiences, wisdom, and insight.

We thoroughly enjoying dining at Restaurant Marrakesh; we love the food, the service, and the atmosphere.
One little tidbit of information...the mosiac tiles are beautiful and were actually done by Morroccan artisan's. All the tile was made in Morrocco, shipped over and then installed by Morroccan artisan's. Beautiful!
