How's ME lately...

Can anyone tell me how ME has been lately??

I have used ME July 2005, Dec 2005 and April 2006 and I found it to be the same every time. It went smoothly each time. We received our tags about three weeks before the trip and had no problems getting our luggage. In July we received our luggage very fast (approx. 1 hour after arriving to resort). In Dec. it took a bit longer (approx. 3 hours). In April we were out of the room, so I am not sure when they arrived. All three times we were scheduled to be picked up three hours from our departure time. In April there were only six of us on the bus to go to the airport!

We used ME for the first time this month. ME was fast! We were on our coach within 5 minutes of arriving at the Welcome Center in MCO. Our luggage was delivered promptly to our room. Our transport coach was clean and quite magical with videos and a Disney theme. Everything was on point....much better than expected...Never have we experienced a "free" service that seemed so VIP> We'll continue to use ME.

I will be using ME for the first time. Can you tell me if you can only take one bag per person? My husband was going to take his golf clubs. Also how, where do you affix the luggage strips? Around the handles like the regular airport strips with your destination?

29 days for us Seneca. ME is running fine. We used it last June, Nov, and Jan. one of the best things WDW ever did

We used ME for the first time in Dec. 2005 . I was nervous about it because we had a gigantic problem with Mears on our vacation previous to using ME. Well, our experience was GREAT!!! The service was friendly; no lost baggage; got taken care of quickly!!!

I am going in July and wondering if ME works with AirTran for the bagless check-in service or will we have to get our own bags? I couldn't find anything about participating airlines other than the info on the ones you can do check-in at the hotel for the return trip.

You are sent two yellow luggage tags per person. Most of the airlines allow 2 checked bags. YOu put the yellow tags on the same way they put those strips on at the airport....over the handles.

Hogzilla.....anyone arriving at MCO for their trip to WDW can use DME baggage service. You put the yellow luggage tags on each piece of checked luggage you have. Then, say goodbye to them at your home airport. You won't see them again until they arrive in your resort room, usually within 3 hrs of checking in. Just get off the plane and head for the DME checkin desk.
It's only for the departure from the resort to go home that using a 'participating' airline matters. If you aren't flying one of those 'participating' airlines, you just take your luggage with you, it gets put underneath the bus, and you check it at the airport.


Oops, almost forgot the original question!! I got my DME packet last Thursday for our May 15 trip...so they seem to be on the 3 week before schedule.

Our experience with DME was great except that the bus on the way to WDW had no DVD to play in the player...the driver might have played one of ours if we had one--which we did not--other than that minor thing--we loved it....
