We're thinking of going to WDW in mid to late October next year.
1. How's the hurricane potential? I know it can't be as bad as in September but is the risk of hurricane essentially over?
2. DH has to golf-alot! So when's the Funai classic? He doesn't want to go that week since probably 2 courses will be unavailable. Or would that be a good week- The other courses will be empty?
3. How's the weather? We're used to going in May and hope the weather's about that warm. November's too cool (well, for DH, not for me!)

The golf classic runs from Oct 18 - Oct 24 at the Palm and Magnolia golf courses. Those are the dates for this year. Not sure of the exact dates for next year.

Hurricane season runs till November 30th. Some forecasters are predicting that from now until then, the season will calm down, but you can never tell what Mother Nature will do.

Here's is a link that has average temperatures for October http://www.accuweather.com/adcbin/public/climo_local.asp

Hope this helps a little. :thewave:

It's one of our favorite times at WDW - you may hit slightly larger crowds that week heading toward Halloween but this will be our fifth time during the last week in Oct. Have a great time!
