I've been thinking of ignoring Easter & starting a new tradition...maybe it's DL! ;) We're not religious you see, it's just a lot of planning for a boring day. Except for the token egg hunt & Easter baskets, I'm not sure my kids would care if they ate ham at G-ma's...KWIM?

Anyway from the Thursday before through Easter...anyone know what it's like?

Super busy.....this usually coincides with a lot of California spring breaks....so the busiest time is the week prior & the week after Easter. We mistakenly did this last year & it was packed. Easter was crazy with loooooonnnnggggg lines...they need FP's for the bathroom!! :rotfl: If you could chose a different time, you'd probably be happier. DL doesn't really do anything for Easter (expect they might have a big buffet at the DLH) so no special egg hunts, etc.

Ok. Scratch that. Bummer.

When we went in January we were VERY happy, I just don't want to miss out on Haunted Mansion every trip. I can't give up T-giving or Xmas. ;)

Originally we were thinking 1 wk before or after T-giving....or January again. Ooooh...maybe February?? Hmmmmm...wheels are a-turnin'!

We went Easter 2008. It was crazy busy. But we still had a great time by following the tips from this board. We went early, rested in the afternoon and went back in the evening. I really think half the fun for me was staying ahead of the crowds. I felt like we really accomplished a great feat.:rotfl2:

The Easter bunny came to our hotel room. He hid eggs filled with Disney dollars which the kids thought was great. Then while we were out, I had Disney services put Easter baskets in the room. They were expensive but worth it to see how excited the kids got.

This past Easter , we went to San Diego. I told the kids that we weren't celebrating Easter. They said but the bunny knew when we were in Disney so he'll know we're in SD. I tried to explain that DL is more magical but turns out, the bunny knew we were in SD as well. :goodvibes
