Thinking of trying it on my solo shopping day at DS. Any especilly good sandwiches?

If you are a fan of Thanksgiving dinner, then the holiday turkey sandwich is a must. It is always my go to when visiting Disney Springs and eating at EOS.

DH likes the holiday sandwich and the original Earl which I believe is a club sandwich of sorts. I always get grilled chicken with fresh mozz & balsamic vinaigrette. It's good, fast, & inexpensive.

People used to comment quite a bit about how much they loved this place, then the enthusiasm died down. A week or so ago there was a post about how it had become pretty lackluster, comparing it to a turnpike sandwich shop. There are so many places to eat at Disney Springs now, you might consider looking into some of the newer venues. I think you can do better than EOS.

I agree. Personally I never understood the hype for EOS. To me its always been a glorified subway. Nothing special. But that's just me. I agree that there are far better options at DS. Although if you feel like a sandwich and youre on a budget and want something quick, then perhaps EOS is the right place for you.

After I posted my comments I started thinking that all that love for EOS was prior to the revamp from DTD to DS. Dining choices were a lot skimpier prior to the reboot of the area. In that most people in the U.S. have some kind of a sub sandwich place within minutes of where they live, I just think there'd be more interesting choices now at DS.

I don't think it's anything special. I know some people love it...even crave it...but when I first heard all of the hype of the WDW location, it was also pitched to me as a wallet friendly place. So, I've always wondered if the popularity is really rooted more in that. We used to have a few local locations of EoS, but they all went out of business because there are better sandwich chains (both in quality and portion size for the cost). I agree that there is so much now in DS that it might be worth consider other options.

Depends on who you ask.
It tends to be a love it or hate it situation.
My family loves it. We often go twice per trip if time allows for it but we always go at least once.
At DLR I went at least 4 times lol.
I always get the Original 1762 and I'm never disappointed.

That's basically what happened with us - we really like "EoS", but then "Blaze" opened, and we were hooked - I know, only pizza, but the kids love it there !

IDK I love pizza but I live in WNY where just in the specific small city I'm in there's a good 10 non chain Pizzerias that I can think of off the top of my head.
I suppose in a place where you've mostly got Pizza Hut or Domino's you'd be more likely to try pizza from somewhere like Disney.

We live in Brooklyn - and NYC is supposedly one of the pizza capitals of the world ! ( we DO have excellent pizza here)

Guess its all a matter of comparison/perspective - we have been dealing with pretty lousy WDW pizza for years ( with the exception of Via Napoli, which we love !) Think that's why our kids fell in love with Blaze

I've only been there once, back in Jan. 2017. I went for a quick/cheap dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the vegetarian wrap with the dressing on the side and I also purchased a side of pasta salad. Both were really good! I guess the important thing to emphasize here is, it's not going to be any different than what you'd expect. If you want more out of your lunch I suggest Polite Pig, Blaze, D-Luxe Burger, etc. If you want even more, go to The Boathouse, Morimoto, etc. My point is, it's what you expect. EOS is good imo, but it's a sandwich shop. I'm a health nut so I'd prob opt for the same sandwich at EOS rather than a brisket platter at Polite Pig.

My family used to liked it but on recent trips have found it to be very lacking. Last time we went (about a month or two ago), my sandwich had very little toppings on it so I was just mainly eating bread. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with my overpriced bread basically and was hungry again within an hour or so. We will not be returning again.

I like it but it's not "special". It's good but now that there are so many other options in DS, I doubt I would choose it unless I needed something to eat back in the room.

Thanks, that's the one that caught my eye when I looked at the menu. I'm not looking for gourmet food. The Polite Pig has gotten good reviews, but we live close to several great brisket/BBQ places.
