How's Chicken Guy?

I really enjoy trying various hot sauces and thought it was meh. Probably won't be back. Ordering was easy.

I’m surprised at the more negative opinions. What are we comparing it with? The bar only goes so high in the universe of fast food chicken tenders and I would argue Chicken Guy is near the top. I like it better than Raising Cane for example while Chick-fil-A nuggets and sauces give them a run for their money.

That being said no one should be waiting 45 minutes for fast food tenders. I’d probably lose my patience at about 10 minutes and go somewhere else.
I love chicken tenders, and I’m…a woman of a certain age. My husband rolls his eyes when I order them at a restaurant that has more adult options available. Chicken Guys tenders were the blandest tenders I’ve ever had in my life. Bar none. I didn’t think they were dry or greasy, and the breading was crispy; they were just flavorless. I commented to my DS they must simply be a vehicle to get the sauces to your mouth.

I went two years ago but really enjoyed Chicken Guy. Note that my tastes in food linger around an 8 year old's, but the less spicy sauces that I tried (I think two with the kids meal - I'm not a kid) both matched their descriptions and were delicious on both the chicken and fries. The prices were low for Disney Springs. I do agree that without sauce, the food is bland.

I thought they were good - not bland at all. Maybe it depends on who is in the kitchen?

We also walked right up to a register, they had an employee outside clearing tables for folks that helped me gather another chair for my party, and our food was out quickly. That wins major points with me.

We'd eat there again, but I won't eat anyplace that has a long line or lack of seating. We've passed it up before because it was too busy.

The food was fine, and the prices were reasonable. Short line just before Christmas but it moved fast. My kid hated his grilled cheese sandwich so I tasted it. The cheese was melted between two slices of garlic bread and was really good ... for an adult's taste buds. I think most kids would have had the same opinion as my kid's. Overall we'd eat there again.

We ate there in Dec and our family of 2 adults and 2 kids enjoyed it. The line was long but moved quickly. We were there around 4pm and hadn’t eaten since breakfast, so maybe we were just hungry but we inhaled our food. The fries were really good. I liked the breading on the chicken and really loved trying all the sauces. It wasn’t spectacular but better than some other places we have had chicken tenders. Especially those places you take a bite and there is something hard in the chicken and you have to spit it out🤢. We will probably go back as long as it doesn’t stop us from trying other places.

Thanks everyone! I guess one of my concerns was that the price is so inexpensive, especially for Disney, that I was wondering if it was OK. Now to find a relatively slow time, but just in case, I down-loaded the app so I can mobile-order.

My DGDs love chicken tenders and Chicken Guy seems perfect for them. How is it? And I hear that it gets pretty busy. Is there a time of day that's not as busy?
For me its the various dips that make it. Ive been a few times now since opening and its always busy. Good luck and if you like chicken, go for it.

I love Chicken Guy, especially all the different dipping sauces. Join the club and you get two extra sauces free with each order. Get there early though because it gets very busy.

I have yet to get this to work. I have joined the club. And yet, when I log in, I am never able to see it or figure out how to use it. I wish they would just email or mail a card.

I think I have it all sorted out now, but in the past, I have had issues with trying to use it while ordering online, and then somehow, I didn't have a phone number attached to my account, so I wasn't able to use it in-store.

Like I said, I was able to get it all ironed out. But...ask me about it next time I go. Haha.

Gonna disagree on Raising Canes. I would say Canes' chicken is far superior, both in flavor and crunch. And I would take Canes Sauce over any sauce at Chicken Guy.

But, I do like Chicken Guy quite well, and I would also put it near the top. I am actually a big fan of their sandwiches. If you are someone like me who likes a lot of lettuce on your sandwich, it is right up your alley. It's very filling, and a great deal, I think.

I had the BBQ Chopped Chicken salad the last time I was there and it was actually quite nice.

I’ll agree about the Chicken Guy sandwich. We had one on Monday. The chicken was pretty sparse for a place called Chicken Guy, but there were loads of other fresh toppings and the sauce was pretty tasty. Although we discussed that we could have easily been eating a fast food kids’ burger with extra lettuce since the chicken was so overpowered by everything else. Basically the flavor was there for everything but the chicken.

We've been a few times and have always enjoyed our meal. It's also less expensive than many DS dining locations.

I'd agree with the consensus here: that they are generally good value, the chicken itself is a bit under-seasoned, but the sauces make up the difference. A notch above most fast food, but nothing worth going out of your way for. If you're already in Disney Springs that day and need your chicken fix it will definitely get the job done.

If you're going, do mobile order from their website (not on MDE). We always mobile order while walking around DS and then pick it up when we're nearby, never have to wait in that long line.

Just visited in March. It was busy but the line moved fairly quickly. I thought the food was excellent and very reasonably priced for those with kids I would highly recommend as you can get some great food without breaking the bank. 👍🏻

We ate there about a week ago, it was really good. The line was long but I ordered on their website and it was ready in about 10 minutes (on a Saturday night).
