How's BLT looking? Feeling WORRIED!!!

Just got back. We spent 7 nights in a standard view (north side, even number room) one bedroom and one night in a lake view one bedroom (north side, inner C). I found the lake view room to be in much better shape. I'm assuming it gets less use than the standard view. Loved the view on the standard (Space Mountain, lake, fireworks every night, very quiet and private), but the lake view room was superior in terms of finishings, etc. We enjoyed our stay in both rooms, but I don't think BLT will be my first choice in the future.

We stayed in a 2br 2 weeks ago. I had no issues with the condition of the room, however I was annoyed at the lack of soap dish and towel hooks. Also, I wish the sink area of the bedroom had a door. I usually get up first since it takes me forever to get ready, but I couldn't dry my hair without risking the noise waking up my husband and baby. All small gripes that are trumped by location, location, location. We are considering buying into DVC, and I'm torn between BLT and BWV.

There are no towel hooks in the bathroom?? Where do you hang all the towels that don't fit on the bar?

Both of our one bedroom units had a sliding door between the bedroom and the bathroom. We hung towels on the hooks in the bedroom (3).

We stayed at BLT last week. Our standard 1BR was clean and furniture looked good with the exception of the pull out chair. It looked very worn in the top corners of the chair. We had a light bulb out but other than that, nothing mechanically wrong. You will LOVE the location!

We stayed 5 nights in a 2 bedroom lakeview, and thanks to the suggestions on this board we put in the right room requests and actually had a theme park view. Our room was in great condition and you can't beat the location. The only negative is the pool area - it just isn't as fun for kids as some of the other pools at Disney.

Recently booked a two Bdrm. LV for our first stay at BLT. There are 8 of us and all poly. Lover's. I am getting a bit freaked out reading some posts. We are not dvc family but Disney AP folks just the same. Love BWV but want to be near MK for grandkids and DH who has walking issues. Please tell me I will not be sad! OOP is too much to be disappointed and three bathrooms is so nice!

We had a 2 bedroom last June TPV, no issues, had a studio TPV in October...carpet was clean, but wet, it had been just washed, but not dry yet...BUT the view was to die for, so we opened then sliding glass doors and it dried out. We'll be in a studio again in May. Chipped furniture doesn't bother me...it's clean and well kept up...fine with me.

On the suction cup hooks we keep in our owner's locker. We've found a general lack of hooks at all DVC locations, but yeah, BLT is the worst.

We just stayed first time 2 nights in a BLT studio before our cruise, that was the one criticism, zero towel bars in the bathroom! We had more in our stateroom on the cruise ship :goodvibes

Stop listening to all the hypercritical reports. We just stayed there and it was fine. Some people want DVC to be like the Ritz, but it's not.

No need to worry, we stayed in LV 1br the past several stays and had no huge issues. Whatever issue we found we notified the maintenance people.
I wish other owners would so the same so we could keep the rooms in better condition for all of us.
Anyways, BLT location to MK can't be beat. Just watch out when the monorail is down. If you have any Epcot ADRs you could possibly need 2hrs to get there.... And that is no exaggeration. When the monorail is down the transportation dept need to route some buses to CR. And as we found on our last trip, they are NOT efficient to handle that type of emergency.

Other than that don't worry about the rooms. You'll enjoy it :)

I have stayed at BLT a number of times and have never had any issue with the furniture or anything being run down or damaged.

We just stayed March 1-6 in a LV 2BR on the twelve floor - 8244. It was the first time 2 of our family saw what we purchased. They loved it. Now, as someone whose been in all the other WDW venues I saw a few defects (which I reported), but if you've never been elsewhere, it's impressive. Almost the entire kitchen was obviously brand new.

Don't stay away from TOWL. Personally, it's NOT my preferred fireworks view but it's such a nice way to relax at the end of the day with the castle in the background changing colors and the water parade going by - loved it.
