When I was 4 1/2, because my dad was in the ARMY, I moved to Altenburg, Germany . In the free state of Saxony. From what I can remember, the place was empty. Old houses. Deserted. They weren't stationed there for very long. 1 year maybe.
Long enough to screw up my educational timeline.
