How'd ya guys get the great rates?

we're considering re-investing in the APs....especially since we'll be NC residents next month!

I've been reading that some of you have been getting great rates ($178 for the BC, $131 WL, $194 YC) right around Christmas time...
Now I'm not sure if those are AP rates...or special deals...I know people have been mentioning the Swan and Dolphin...but I didn't see any great deals out there for it...
Also I did check out Mousesavers.com....but got somewhat confused? lol...

Can you guys just throw out some of the "great rates" you managed to get for around the holiday season...thinking of planning a visit for christmas...(12/20-12/26) and what you used (APs, AAA, etc) to recieve them!

AP rates...

4 nights starting 12/20 at the Swan 134.00, with tax 154.98, plus 10.00/night resort fee...164.98/night

5 nights starting 12/24 at the Poly, 170.00, with tax 189.55/night.

3 night starting 12/25 AKL savannah view $171.50 includes tax per night Forgot to say = AP rate - ordered just one AP from DC as we have so many unused days on various park hoppers.

We got an AP rate of 2449 for 9 nights at the WL lodge concierge level, Dec. 22-31. We saved over $2000 from the rack rate we originally had booked. It was worth it for us to buy APs even if we don't go again within a year!

Got AP rates for the following:

CBR-king bed/ Dec. 14-19 $99.20 per night (includes tax)
WL Woodsview room/Dec. 19-27 $139.38 per night (includes tax)

Just wanted to advise you that certain types of rooms at resorts are selling out certain dates around Christmas. So you may want to book soon if using an AP rate! I called Aug. 28th to book the resorts above, but as of a few days ago, the WL (standard & woodsview rooms) aren't available for Dec. 20-27th.
