Howard Johnson Hotel - Moderate - Pictures

rate with mousesavers discount (same as travelocity's discount) is $150/night for theme park view room (superior is what they call it), pre taxes, for the Fall. Not too shabby.
Non-theme park view rooms were $126/night.

Yeah, we go late Sept and the hotel is pretty much sold out. It's ok the Fairfield next door is $129 a night, better hotel overall just no water park.

That's a GREAT rate for a Fairfield! Especially given it's proximity to DL!

I just checked the rates for when we will be there and it's way higher than the Howard Johnson. I guess that's ok though because then I don't have to think about changing my mind.

this is a great hotel, but seems very pricey lately (close to $200 a night).

:scared1: I noticed that too. We were thinking of doing a last minute trip down to Disneyland before DS19 leaves for boot camp and were shocked by their prices. Don't think we have ever paid more than $79/night for a room there--no way I'd stay for $180/night that they are showing for May!

This sure is an old thread :)

The Howard Johnson Hotel is a moderate hotel, located across the street from the Disneyland Resort.

You can see it when riding the monorail.

It is a 7 minute walk to the Disneyland and California Adventure parks entrances, but you might want to take the ART (Anaheim Resort Transportation) after a long day at the parks.

Here is the Howard Johnson with the ART parked in front.

Guest rooms include: coffee/tea maker, refrigerator, high speed internet access, in-room hairdryer, private voicemail messsaging system, 25" tv w/HBO, CNN, Disney Channel, Discover, ESPN, and pay-per-view movies, Sony Playstation available for a fee, iron/ironing board, most rooms have dual sinks and balcony.

This is a ground-floor room, with a door to a little patio.

The hotel sits on 7 acres, and the grounds are nicely landscaped. The main pool also has a jacuzzi, wading pool, and a splash zone for the little ones. NOTE THAT THE MAIN POOL HAS BEEN RETHEMED TO A PIRATE SPLASH AREA - I WILL GET PICS & UPDATE THIS INFORMATION

There is also a quiet pool surrounded by the buildings and pine trees. It was quite nice.

Thank you so much! This is a good list to start with!

No, there maximum capacity is 5 from what I have been told. There are lots of other places where you can get two queens and a sleeper sofa or 3 queens even in a suite.

Also Hampton inn, Embassy Suites Anaheim south have suites with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. We have stayed at both. They both have a free hot breakfast as well. I prefer Embassy Suites.
