MCO to Carribbean Beach for 4 people. My thought was renting a car at MCO, returning at car care center and getting shuttle to CB. Same on way back.

We have rented a car from MCO, drove to WDW and returned at one of the DTD hotels. Of course, there are only two of us, so we were able to rent a tiny car.

I don't like shuttle bus companies, so renting is better for us.

you didn't say when you're going....can you use the Magic Express? free bus to Disney resorts. or you can rent a towncar or the mears shuttles (which I don't recommend because you'll be stopping at EVERYONE's destination first and with a towncar, you pay for the car, not per person.

I haven't rented a car in a long time, but price-wise, it may be cheaper (and less of a hassle) to have a towncar company transport you. I think round trip it'll cost less than $100. And that way the driver is only there for you and you can make a grocery stop if you need to.

For four people a towncar is the best way to go. As someone noted, the charge is per car and not per passenger so this would be cheaper than using the horrible Mears shuttle. There are a number of good towncar services that will be waiting for you at the luggage area and take you directly to your hotel, unless you want a grocery stop along the way.

you may want to check car rental prices, they have really been going down lately, so it may be cheaper to rent a car for the week. I am paying $88 for an intermidiate size car for a week with national in June.
