How will this work?

Headed to WDW in July with my BF. He gets the tickets through his company, but they are the paper tickets - how do we use them? How can we get them linked to our magic bands? Can we do this ahead of time (like over the phone... I don't know if the tickets he has are numbered or have a code or something) or do we have to wait until we are on property? If we have to wait until we are on property, where do we take care of this? Can the resort CMs who check us in/concierge CMs help? Thanks for helping me figure this out!

You'll need a My Disney Experience account. Set it up and link your resort reservation and the confirmation numbers on the tickets.

Preselect your Fastpasses as soon as everything is linked.

When you get to WDW, you'll use your MagicBands to enter the park and the FP lines.

You can link the tickets to your MDE account using the numbers on the back. You'll need to have that info in your MDE account in order to book FP+ reservations. Then, either bring the tickets with you or take a readable phone-camera pic, just in case something with your ticket data misfires, electronic-wise, while at WDW.

When the tickets are loaded in your MDE account, they will be accessible thru your MagicBand. Nothing is loaded directly on your MagicBand, so losing it will not risk your tickets, etc. You will use your MagicBand at touchpoints for park entry and FP+ line entry. MagicBand is also used to access your MDE account for DME check-in, car parking privilege, room key access, Dining Plan credits, some pool accesses, and room charging - if you set it up with a CC and PIN#.

Well this seems simple enough! I thought it was going to be a nightmare and that we could only do it once we were on property! I'll try to do this ASAP so we can book a few FP+s... Here's hoping a few things will still be available!
