How will this work?

My sister made a ressie at 50's Prime Time for 7:05pm on a nite the Studios close at 7pm. Anyway! She wants to be able to take the boat to EPCOT for Illuminations after dinner. My question is will the boat still be running at say 8:15-8:30? This is her 1st time in WDW and she is depending on me to help her with these details. But this one has me stumped.

The boat should still be running, but she likely won't make it in time for IllumiNations. She might make it if she's seated on time (which is unlikely,) and she eats fast, and she walks very quickly to the boat and doesn't have to wait.

The last time we ate there, it took us almost 2 hours. We had to wait 20-30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated and service was very slow. I thought we would never get our food. Maybe that was just a bad day, but she should realize that she may not make it to illuminations.

We have always had to wait at least 15 mins to be seated at 50's. But, we have seldom taken much more than an hour to eat. I would think that at that hour, it wouldn't be too bad.
So, if they get seated at, say, 7:15, they 'should' be done eating by 8:30. Then, if the boat is still running (usually run an hour or so beyond park hours), it is 25 mins to Epcot, not including wait times. IF she decides to walk to Epcot, it's about 20 mins.
I would tell her she needs to make a choice....50's or IllumiNations. It's going to be really hard to do both.

Thanks! I will tell her to plan to catch a bus back to the resort after dinner. She will have plenty of time to watch Illuminations so she doesn't have to stress about it that nite! She just knew she was close so she was trying to CRAM one more thing in that day!
