How/where do you clean your cloth purses?

I have a COACH, a Stuart Weitzman white/mostly white cloth/canvas-like purses that have become kind of dingy. My local cleaners won't clean them and Nordstrom's wants to charge me $25 a pop. I hate to try to clean them myself for fear of ruining them but would be willing to try if you have a tried and true method. Any other suggestions of where I could take them?

The saleswoman at the Coach outlet told me to use Woolite on the fabric parts of their purses that the cleaner they sell won't clean. So far, so good. I always try a small part of the fabric in a less visible spot (like the bottom of the purse) to make sure it will clean it. Much cheaper then $25!
