how/when to request room preference?

I'm sure that this has been covered before but cannot find it

We are staying at the Poly in May 08 and we've booked the room through a AAA travel agent. Can I call and give them a room request now? Do I have a time period (like ADR's) in which I can do this?

I'm too not picky on the buildings really, I'd just like to stay away from the really noisy areas.

You can have your AAA travel agent add the request right now - actually it could have been noted with the original reservation. Since they (AAA) made the reservation they will have to call Disney but that should be no trouble. You can also call/fax the resort itself about three days before your arrival - this is when the resort actually gets your info - and confirm the request but it has been debated here whether or not this is any help.
