Walt Disney was an amazing man. Personally, I would rather name my kid after an amazing man than a piece of fruit or a color.

I've mentioned naming a daughter Disney.....>DH looked at me liek I'd lost my dang mind! I honestly think it's a beautiful name- either for a first or middle name. Apparently I'm alone in this thinking in my family LOL

I love Disney, but please don't do it. Go for Walter or Elias or Lillian instead.

I never had kids, but I'm glad that I didn't have one at a young age and name it "Bowie". That was my plan when I was a teenager .

I agree with the poster who suggested such a name might make a nice target for ridicule amongst it's peers at the very least.

The sentiment is sweet though. Impractical, silly, maybe even ridiculous....but sweet.

Imagine him or her running for congress. Or applying to law school. Or being called over the high school loudspeaker for scoring a goal in a soccer game--- think of the reactions she'll receive. Think of the mean girls in middle school and how they'll react.

And, as hard as it may be to believe, she may grow up to be one of those people who just don't love Disney, and she'll be stuck with a name that doesn't reflect her.

I would seriously rethink the name.
