We stayed at POP just 2 weeks ago and thought the pools were superwarm esp for little kids, just bought 150 pts for ssr and hoping that the pools are just as warm, any opinions for either ssr or bw pools?

All of the WDW pools are supposed to be heated. IIRC, a past issue of the Disney Magazine said the pools were heated to 85 degrees F. Anyway, there shouldn't be any significant differences between the pools. Haven't stayed at SSR, but the pool water at BWV's main pool was very nice last December.

Best wishes -

We haven't stayed at SSR in the winter...but I can tell you that it was PLENTY warm last summer! TOO warm.

We stayed both at BWV and SSR in December, and I enjoyed both pools! They were perfect!

Pools are kept about 82 degrees. It easier said then done. It is possible to find great differences between pools regarding the temp. It is not an easy thing to keep them just right especially when there is an unexpected drop or rise in temperature over-night.

We were there feb 5th the quiet pool was warm. Not sure how warm but you could just jump right in. Very nice.

We were at VWL and SSR in late Dec. The quiet pools were heated as well at both resorts.

Bill, I cannot BELIEVE how fast the time has gone. The big day will be here before we know it! I have to remember to keep in touch with you that week before...if you see a royal blue Caravan with patriotic Mickey ears on the antenna and Georgia plates (and three little blonde kids)...it's us!

We were at WDW the second week of October 04 at SSR. The first day we were there the pool was a nice 85 (I have a dive watch). By the third day it was at 80. That's a big difference. Also the water parks were at 80. I was suspicious and talked with a CM at SSR's pool and she said that they had lowered the temp of the pool. She could tell first hand since she had to do a rescue.

I left some feedback with Disney, but didn't get any info back. Hopefully they are back up to the normal 85. Rumor was that they cut the temps at the pools during the huricanes and then after to reduce costs. Only a rumor though.
