Wow...I watched CourtTv and some of Larry King last night and they were going over some of the transcripts of the conversations.

Can anyone even believe how awful those conversations were, especially knowing they took place before and after Laci's candlelight vigil?

Unreal.

Until the latest, I've thought he was innocent. Now I don't think so.

He is a scumbag. I wonder how his family feels about him now, they are so willing to sell all their belongings to pay for his defense. How about Amber Frey -- sex on the first date and by the third date she lets this guy pick up her daughter at her daycare. Unbelievable.

Yeah, he's dirt. I just really hope that he doesn't get unjustly convicted of murder because of it. I'm not saying he's innocent. At all. But I just want to make sure that the jury looks at the facts of the murder and not Scott's less than stellar performance as a husband.

I haven't seen the transcripts. What's the latest?

::yes::

As yucky as it is about Amber Frey, at least she had the guts to realize the position she was in and go to the police/attorney. She had to know it would all come out anyway. I think she's pretty brave facing people, knowing people judge the way we do. She's no dummy in that regard.

Well, you know, he is scum and, you know, Amber is obviously, you know, a "classy" chick, you know.

I always thought he was quilty, but am a firm believer in a fair trial. However, these transcript make the case a slam dunk in my opinion. I don't beleive Amber is trying to get any fame out of this, I think she realized the situation and did the best she could to help and avoid becoming another victim.

Also, while the early dating and "relations" may be a bit risque to some, I have seen lots of people like Scott Peterson in my line of work who can be incredibly charming and manipulative on woman.

I just hope justice is served to all....

IMHO from day 1 thought he did it....Who goes fishing on Christmas eve with a pregnant wife....Innocent men try to flee to Mexico right? And while none of us are "innocent"... I agree with the poster who stated, at least she went to the police/attorney.

Scott Peterson is a scum-bag, no doubt about that. However, I want to wait for ALL of the evidence before passing judgement. Not all cheating husbands are murderers...just ask the millions out there...

He did it, I've never doubted it for a minute. I pray the jury sees it too.

Scott's "persona" of smug indifference is what really gets me. Makes me wish the Tag Fairy could grant my wish of being allowed to pinch the s@$& out of him to see if he really can show ANY emotion! :earseek:

puffkin - those tapes don't make this murder case a slam dunk by any means - it makes the case that he's a two-timing, sleezebag a slam dunk - but doesn't in the least bit prove he murdered her. It does go a lot to prove his frame of mind after Laci's disappearance. But whose to say, as sickening as it sounds, he wasn't just relieved that Laci was gone and wanting to look to a future with Amber.

OK - I think the guy got way too over his head in debt and wanted to get out of the marriage and sleep around and live a bachelor lifestyle and his pregnant wife was hindering that. I personally feel he killed her for the insurance. But as an attorney I know that to this point, the prosecution has done such a horrible job of presenting this case that I just don't see how they can prove "beyond a resonable dobut" that he did it.

Also, I just posted this on the other Scott Peterson thread - but yesterday I had to attend a case at the Redwood City courthouse and long story short - I was in the hallway near judges chambers when they brought Scott Peterson by to resume the afternoon session. He passed within 2 feet of me and just being in his presence make me sick to my stomach.

Me too! Between Amber Frye and the Nancy grace specials on Court TV where she talks to the fisherman about how to/not to fish for sturgeon-that's it. Mind's changed-he's guilty!

It's funny... this is the only thing we talked about at the office this afternoon......

I think the prosecution in this case has done a really good job of making him look like an enormous sleazeball. But I still feel like I am looking at a really circumstancial case. (Hence why they're going to such trouble to make him look SO bad-- let the jury fill in the blanks, right). Now, mind you, I haven't been paying too too much attention to it, so take what I think for what it's worth.

I have to say, though-- if Amber Frey and the tapes are the best they've got... I've got two words- Hung Jury!

Personally, though-- I hope this trial gets over with soon. I'd love to hear Nancy Grace expound about the Jackson case when that one goes to trial. :earseek:
