~How TWO trips became...who knows? ~ It's a TRIP! and an upgrade.... 4/22

I see Crystal Palace in your distant future~~~~~ ring the tambourines, sound the drums... Yes, Crystal Palace in a Sept. trip for you~~~ my crystal ball says Mary and her friends muuuuussttt see Main Street veeeerrryy empty as she goes out to socialize.

You HAVE to do CP breakfast. If nothing else it will get you up and moving early. Get the 8:05 ressie and you will be finishing up eating rite when MK opens. Plus you get those cool pics of an empty Main St.!!!!!!!!!:scratchin

YES! Sharon said YES! To the early ressie!! :)

I'm here now......
You're a lucky duck.

Glad you have joined the party!!!

I promised y'all pictures of Lauren's Sweet 16 Birthday party!!

I actually am going to have to do this in 2 parts...These are the pictures I took and the pictures that the professional took will have to be posted later...I don't have those yet!

These were not with my camera, as mine is dead...I used one of her extra cameras...

The theme was Hollywood...Here are some of the decorations...

We took pictures of each party guest as they came to the door and introduced each by name to the other party guests!

This is Brandi, one of Lauren's best friends...

DSC_0423.jpg

And then...**drum roll, please!!**

The Guest of Honor, being escorted by a very nice young man who is sheltering her from the rain...

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!!!! My next set of pictures will probably have one of her that is better, too!

DSC_0432.jpg

Lauren requested that Muffin attend the party...every movie star needs a cute little dog!

DSC_0435.jpg

I just LOVE this picture of William!!

DSC_0426.jpg

You will have to just imagine Lauren dancing in this one! She was twirling around and around. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

DSC_0523.jpg

The funniest picture of the night...And hopefully you will see this fast, because when Lisa finds out this is on here...she is going to kill me and then have me remove it. Well, actually she will probably have me remove it first and THEN kill me.

She looks EVIL in this picture. I assure you, she is not. She just didn't want me to take her picture and screamed...NO...and then proceeded to take a swing at me with her crutch!! As you can see, I took the picture anyway!

DSC_0481.jpg

But...the best picture of the night...Lauren and her Daddy...

DSC_0560.jpg

I will post some more as soon as I get them! :) Enjoy!!!

Those are some great pics! Lauren looks like a true princess! Hollywood theme is a great idea! Did you do that?

what a wonderful party
Lauren looks beautiful :lovestruc

funny Hollywood must be the "in" thing right now
I went to my nephews prom last night and the theme was "Hollywood"

Lauren looks BEAUTIFUL!! Looks like she had a really fun party! Love the pic of Lauren and Muffin...too cute! And the one with William too!
OH and I laughed out loud at the one of Lisa! Too funny! You are right...she will kill you!! ha ha!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY LAUREN! Beautiful Party - so much fun - I want to be a part of the fun! PERFECT theme, and  Muffin - How sweet to include Muffin Maroo you tell such a great story with the pics - thank you for sharing!! Poor Lisa - she has to know how important to the story she is!! (healing vibes :wizard:) I say keep the picture so next time she'll smile!! (it worked for someone I know... :rolleyes1) and I cant forget WILLIAM!! :thumbsup2 (I'm sure he doesnt appreciate how handsome he is!)

Do they pipe in the music too? I may have to think about this myself. :)

YES - usually!! We've seen Wishes from the Poly on a few occassions - (hard to get a hammock btw - but its still a great way to see Wishes - but you do miss a bit - the stuff from the castle - Tink flying... but the big stuff is AWESOME!) and Usually the music is piped in - I have discovered that its true - the MK computer system controls the piped music! So if someone forgets to flip that switch - you dont hear it on the beach! :scared:

LOVE Wishes from the Cali Grill - I have pictures surely, its just so awesome there!!

DME: There's confusion about what a "participating" airline means

Southwest DOES participate with luggage transfers. What they DON'T participate in is resort check in. What you do is go to concierge to print your boarding pass 24 hours prior to departure. But otherwise - you're covered for transportation.

However, since you're coming in late (past 10PM)- you'll need to pick up your luggage from what I understand. This has recently changed - I know with certainty that they won't deliver luggage 24/7 anymore (any airline, not just southwest). So your best bet is to pick up the luggage when you arrive (or I'm assuming they'll deliver it the next day.). But you should confirm with the CM at Disney (via CRO).

Was that helpful or just more confusing? LOL

Very Helpful - and correct - TAKE DME - save that money on other transports for DISNEY, food, souvies, next wdw trip!! That time of night it wont be crowded, and it wont take long - you wont even notice it as you watch the movie on the bus - we've taken a limo company, etc - but now we strictly do DME -

Its really easy to go from Southwest - grab your luggage then head over to DME - just post or read on the Transportation forum!! YOU CAN DO IT!! Truly its easy!

:dance3:

Maroo I had to give up reading TR - it just takes too much of my time!! BUT today is a lazy Sunday, so I entered a click into Pre-trip reports!! and feel guilty I've missed your report!!

Now, my advice about food? well I'd do either Jikos or Boma, not both - mainly because of transportation! We did Boma, and I'm glad we did, we walked around and soaked in the atmosphere - but I truly wouldnt want to do it twice in one visit!!

I have to go back and see what other opinions I can post!! :rotfl2:

EPCOT/World Showcase is our favorite - Do eat at Maroocco (for obvious reasons!!) CS has great options (and their bakery for desserts! YUM!!) I'm not an adventurous eater!! But I truly liked the CS options - Maroocco - dd did a school report and we spent lots of time there! Truly amazing "museum"

1 day at MK - I dont like their dining options - but I have to say... I really hope you will consider doing CP in Jan - and then letting us join you!! Seriously!!

What a lovely party!

It's so nice to see young ladies dressing up... I'm glad the "grungy" look is dead!

Kathy

That looks like a wonderful party! It was done up beautifully!

I was only responsible for the music. In other words, I paid for the downloads! I can push buttons with the best of them! :) The decorations and photography stuff was donated and completely done by one of Lauren's friends Mom! :)

Oh my gosh! Everything looked great...especially the guest of honor! Beautiful!

Wasn't she beautiful!

Great pics! can't wait to see more.

We are having trouble getting the fancy ones to go on my computer...but we are working on it! :)

Those are some great pics! Lauren looks like a true princess! Hollywood theme is a great idea! Did you do that?

She is a princess!! It was her idea! And no, I had nothing to do with the decorations. :) I did help talk her parents into throwing the party, though! :)

Lisa actually SAW it today and just busted out laughing!!! She was a very good sport!

Kathy

Oh, the grungy look is definitely alive and well! :) They just dressed up for THIS night! :)

One of the funniest arguments that I hear at Lauren's house is Lauren (15 yr old GIRL) and William (9 yr old BOY) fighting over clothes. :lmao: Lauren is so small that she fits in his. "William, I want to wear that T Shirt!" "No! It's MINE!" :rotfl: :lmao:

Thank you so much for all of your comments!!! Welcome back!! :)

Lisa was actually a very good sport! :) Muffin had so much fun! Cute clothes. People to play with...and crumbs! A dog's heaven!

I told William this...That he doesn't appreciate how handome he is...and he said, "Yes I do! I know I am handsome! I am a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Cracked me up!!!!
