How to win??

No just at Disney Parks and Downtown Disney.

Good luck.

We seem to win the first couple of hours in the morning?

I have spoken to a few winners and it seems that the prizes are given out in the morning and early afternoon. :)

I have only seen winners at the Magic Kingdom. I have yet to see any winners at the other parks or at downtown disney. :)

we were there last March and I had done so much research on how to get them to notice us and give us a prize. You do see them around the parks - and you definatley see winners - people wearing the lanyards and people wearing the exclusive silver ears. They cannot tell resort guests from non-resort guests so this isn't a requirement.

My suggestion, just go and enjoy. If you are lucky, they just might be at a show or ride you are in....

We did Big Thunder Mountain Railroad on our second day at MK first in the morning and as we exited the ride, there the 2 staff were with arm fulls of the hats to give us. "You're one in a million" they said. I was so excited....

We never won anything else over the next 2 weeks at the parks - but saw it often. But then there were little differences that I started realizing....at Blizzard Beach they gave me my meal on a different coloured tray and told me that I could exchange that tray for free ice cream after our meal.

At Polynesian, we were sitting on the beach to watch the fireworks and a staff member who drives the boats asked us if we wanted to go out on the water and watch them for free - evidently she had a reserved cruise and it cancelled so it was still paid for. I am sure this isn't part of their YOAMD gifts, but it heightens your awareness to all the great things that staff at the parks do on a daily basis anyways to make you feel special!!

So do you wear the hats(or lanyards) the whole trip or just that day?

we definately wore them all that day but I thought that if they saw we had already won something, they might not give us something else. So we didn't wear them again in the parks. But they do sit proudly on my dresser since I am "one in a million". I recall there were guests wanting to know where we bought them and they cannot be purchased anywhere - you must win them.

I can tell you, there are families with their kids all dressed up like pirates and pricesses and they don't get picked. It is completely unbiased and random and most of what I saw was to entire audiences or entire loads of rides - which was nice. An entire audinece of Philharmonic got the fast pass lanyards!!

Sure would have loved the night in the castle though!!

Most of our plans are for early morning, so hopefully that will help us with our "luck." :yay: Thanks for the information.

Twice while we were there after rope drop , a family had been chosen for the castle. They announced it over the speaker by city hall!

Good luck to you!

We were lucky enough to win the castle stay last April. It was Friday the 13th to be exact and we won it at around 1pm at MGM when my DH and DS were getting off of The Backlot Tour. We were told that we were going to be picked up at our resort at 4pm exactly and we were!

Congrats on winning the Castle Stay. My girls would love to stay in the Castle.

The only time my family won anything Dream-related was when we were playing that Fire-house game in Innovations in EPCOT. We play it multiple times everytime we go to Disney and it's really fun! The whole group of people riding got Dream pin lanyards. I do have to say that I believe it was at like noon or something...Any tips on how to get noticed by Dream people? ME WANTS A CASTLE STAY! By the way, I was wondering what happens if you win a night in the castle and you are leaving that day?? THAT WOULD BE BAD.

We got squat in September. We even talked to the Dream Team at the opening of Epcot. One of the ladies squatted down, talked to DD, gave her one of those stickers all the CMS carry, then moved on. Dang it.

We did follow three DT members and an "official looking" lady onto Journey Through the Imagination one morning. They posted themselves at the entrance and I saw the official had one of those little metal counters in her hand.

DD wouldn't ride the ride (she doesn't like it). I was so mad!

I'm crossing my fingers that we'll see some magic in March!

We were checking out the times board at Epcot and kinda let down at the long wait for Test Track. It was about 7 pm. All of a sudden the Dream Lady walked up and said "which one do you want to ride?" DS said "we wanted to ride Test Track, but the wait is too long." And she said, "Well let's skip the line!" Yippee! On the walk over to TT, we mentioned that it was DS's birthday :rolleyes1 . She arranged for us to ride twice!
Dang. Looking at the photo, I should have distracted her while DS rummaged through her bag of goodies!!!
