how to wait list

Hi everyone. Can you guys tell me what "waitlisting" is all about? I will need to book 2 studios at BCV for June 26 - July 3rd 2005. I will be booking 7 mo. out and was told from a previous question that I posted that I would probably have to do a wait list for that time of year. I do have a back up plan, but I would REALLY like to stay at the beach club. We are bringing my BIL & SIL and Neice and they have never ever been to Disney before. If I have to wait list do I also book my backup plan? Do most waitlists come thru? Help from anyone who has done this before will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should call right at 7 months to see if the first day of your stay is available (if your first night is June 26, you can call on November 27 - except that's a Saturday, so you'll need to call on Monday, November 28). On that day you can book the first two nights of your stay if available. Ask MS is it looks like the other days will be available or if you should cal daily until the reservation is complete.

In the meantime, you should make a reservation at your home resort, so you'll know that you have a reservation for the dates you want.

If there is no availability for your dates, book as many days as possible and waitlist for the remainder. Ask for daily-auto-waitlist, so they will just add days to your reservation as they become available.

This far in advance, I'm sure you'll get exactly what you want.
