How to visit resorts on monorail loop?

We are going in June for 3 days and staying off site. We have an afternoon flight on day we leave and thought about visiting the resorts on the monorail loop, just stop by each one for a short time to see what their like. Is it possible to park at Polynesian Resort or Contemporary Resort and take the resort monorail to each one? Or do I have to pay the parking fee and get on the monorail at the TTC?

Technically, no you can not park for free at any resort if you are not staying on property. You can pay for valet parking. Some people have said they have had luck saying they are visiting and getting to park. Keep in mind there are people who are staying at the MK resorts that need to park and it's possible if you are parking there you might be making it hard for them to park.

If you make an ADR for breakfast at Ohana, Wave, Chef Mickey, Kona, GFC or 1900 Park Fare, you can park for 3 hours. You'll be doomed if the monorail poops out as it so often does, but if you make an ADR and keep it you can park as a paying diner.

Note the meal will take an hour of your 3, easily, so you might rather pay valet. Maybe.

you can park at Disney Springs in the new garage and take a bus to any of the hotels. Then make your rounds and when you leave the last hotel, take a bus back to the springs, hop in the car and head out. From offsite, the exit ramp right off I4 to the Ramp makes it very convenient.

I understand what your saying. I'm not trying to get to the parks and avoid paying the parking fee. We have some time to kill so we thought if would be fun to visit the resorts, look around, do some shopping. I have heard of the 3 hour parking pass but wasn't sure if that was available at the deluxe resorts. We did it one time at Caribbean Beach resort. Sounds like it would keep everyone happy to just pay to park at TTC and take the monorail from there.

Do they allow Non Resort guests to get on the Resort monorail at the TTC?

yes the problem would be parking in a MK hotel parking lot when you are not staying there. that say it depends if a slow day then the guards might let you in - in a convention or sales anything - you will be told to park in the MK lot.

So when I get to the MK lot entrance, where you pay the parking fee, I would let them know i'm going to Poly to visit, they will at that point direct me to Poly or let me know I have to pay the fee and park at TTC?
Or is there a way to get to Poly or CR without going thru parking ticket gate. Thanks

Just let them know you are going to the resort. It's easy.

And when you get to the lot, tell the guard your plans of visiting the resort. See what they say. (I have never once been told of a 3 hour limit by an actual cm nor has any resort other than my own given me a pass, and if we've been off property that isn't out when we get back onto property so it's not always showing)

We are allowed to visit resorts and that is what you are doing.

Without knowing where you are staying, I would suggest looking on google maps at Vista Blvd. It takes you in from the side to where you can reach the MK resorts. Just follow the signs to the resorts you want to check out. I use this route when staying at FW to avoid the back ups at the parking gates or when I am going to one of the MK resorts for a meal.

When you pull up to the resort gates, let the guard know you are wanting to look at the resort. That guard will make the decision on whether to allow you to enter their parking lot or not. If they allow you, they will direct you where to park and inform you of any restrictions.

If you want to go through the main parking gates, just stay to the right, just not the very right lane. Let the attendant know you are wanting to go to the resort. Stay to the right as you go through the gates and follow the signs.

There's plenty of parking at the Grand Floridian. The Contemporary is the main resort that they get really picky about letting people park in bc it's smaller and so close to MK. We just got home from a long stay at the GF, and we never saw parking issues, so I wouldn't worry about taking spots from people.

I'd try to park there, and if they won't let you, park and pay at the TTC?!

if you go in the MK entrance and say you are going to the Polyn - they will let you in - they don't know how many guests are staying at the Poly or any WDW resort.

the security guard at Polyn will (as has been say) let you in or tell you they can't allow you park here. Unless you are staying there or have a confirmed reservation to one of their restaurants.

once pass the guard at the MK entrance - at the first light turn LEFT - you will go pass the place where all the outside buses park and the lost/found - the Polyn will be on the right.

The easiest way is to park at MK and take the monorail over. I walked from MK to the Contempory, then took the monorail onto the Poly then walked to the GF. Fun evening.
