how to use SW credit

My Brother and SIL were suppose to go with us last OCT but my brother couldn't make it. SIL did go with us. SIL got a credit back for my brothers flight (SW) R/T. Can I use it for my trip in May and what do I need from her to use it if I can.

You would need the original confirmation number from your brother's flight. You can then apply any credit from that confirmation number to the flight you are buying.

Besides the code, I believe you also need the name of the credit card holder that booked the original ticket.
