I'm trying to accumulate some points to make our upcoming 8 days (08/2016) Disney vacation as affordable as possible. Already bought park tickets from Undercover. Probably will stay at POP using Citi Thankyou. We've have about 90K points in BarclaysArrvial and I read somewhere that would partially cover food/in park purchases. As I see, Disney theme parks are exluded from 'travel' category in barclays. So, I'm not sure how to use my barclays points to cover food purchases in Disney. Can someone help, please

I believe if you would make charges to your room (if you are staying on site), then pay off the room charges with the Barclay, that would make the category hotel/resort instead of theme park.

Thank you.

So, Only the theme park tickets are excluded from Arrival's redemption but all disney resorts/hotels are still eligible for Arrival's Redemption ?

I would think purchases at the parks paid directly with the card including food, gift shops, tickets would be theme park. I would think anything you could put on your room and then pay off the room balance with the card would be under resorts.

You could add $900 on Disney Vacation Account and use 90,000 to pay that off. Then get Disney gift cards form DVA. DVA is coded as Travel. Got a $25 DVA travel credit on 12/30/15.
On second thought, you might want to test it out before spending $900.

Great tip. I dint know you could get giftcard out of your DVA for your money

I can say that both Citi and Chase code disney resort room charges as "travel" I cannot speak for Barclay because I live in Iowa and Iowans and Puerto Ricans are not allowed to sign up for Barclay Credit Cards
