How to upgrade AP to PAP?

I recently renewed our family's APs with the DVC renewal discount. Mine expires Dec, 2015 and the rest of the family Jan, 2016. Is there a way to upgrade these to PAPs? Would that be cost effective? We have a trip to DL planned for this August.

I'm going to guess you mean the Disney Premier Passport since you mention a trip to DL. The PAP is a WDW Premium Annual Pass.

The Disney Premier Passport is $1,029 plus FL sales tax on 50% of the price (no CA tax on theme park tickets). You would pay the difference between what you paid for the DVC AP and the price of the Disney Premier Passport.

There is a small discount (like $20) available to DVC members on Disneyland Annual Passports, but no discounts on daily park admission.

Thanks, doesn't seem like they offer the type of pass I am looking for, will just buy regular park hoppers from a discount site.

I have purchased the Deluxe AP in the past. This one has blackout dates but it usually works out that I am not the on the blackout dates. The price for this pass has really jumped, it used be only around $300 and I would get a couple of trips out of it.

I'm going to D23 this August, not sure what I will do. Will be in the parks Sunday to Thursday and at the convention Friday to Sunday. So may just buy a 5 day.
