How to travel through TSA with diabetes supplies?

Hi there! We are very new to this. Not traveling with insulin at this time, but will have lancets (for finger prick) and extra CGM Sensors (has needle) as well as low supplies. How do we declare this to TSA? We already know DH will need a pat down as his sensor company said it can't go through the scanner neither can the receiver. Thanks for any advice!

DH has never had a problem with his supplies when traveling. If you are concerned, you can put all the lancets and testing supplies in a large ziploc bag (or 2 if needed) that you pull-out and declare. I'm not sure what you have for lows but if it's gel or liquids over the general allowed amount, put those in a separate ziploc bag and declare it as medical. I don't know how much liquid they'll allow you to carry-on, so maybe look into using glucose tabs for treating lows instead of gel or liquids, at least for the flight.
