How to transfer points?

Hi all,

I have had a few people contact me about transferring points to them. Here is my question. I have a Sept UY. Say someone wants to go to BW next October and wants to book at the 11 month mark, can I transfer Sept 2006 UY points to them now?

I am wondering how you transfer points and use them to make a reservation at the 11 month mark. Thanks for your help!

You can transfer September, 2005 points and they can bank them. They may need to request (demand) that MS manually track those points so they can reserve at 11 months- as the transferred points sometimes assume the home resort status of the account into which they were transferred. Manual tracking can overcome that if needed.

To make sure I have it right, if I have 20 points from the Sept 2005 UY, I can transfer them now to another member, and that person can bank them so that they don't expire until Aug 31, 2007? Is this true regardless of the other person's UY?

Is this what you mean by having them track the points manually? IE, that the points keep my UY and not the UY of the person who buys them from me?

That's how it's supposed to work- and can if you demand that MS track the points in that fashion. Most likely the points may assume the home resort and Use Year of the contract into which they were moved. If banked, they will follow the deadlines of that contract and not yours.

That responsibilty will fall on the member you transfer them to.
