How to transfer an ADR

I need help! I am in contact with someone who is cancelling an ADR that I would like to pick up. Is there a way of doing this or do i call after she gets off the phone to cancel

Might be being a bit naive but can't you just take their name and turn up at the time and use there ADR that way? If you don't turn up for an ADR you don't get charged so that way you definately get it and it doesn't matter whether they have it or not?

I would get their confirmation # as well.

I did this last month. I gave the person giving me her ADR the following: name, # in party, #children in party & ages, resort name and arrival date. She then called WDW Dine and had it switched over.
