How to surprise my son with star wars weekend

My dh and I have decided to surprise my son with a Star Wars weekend bday gift for his 13th bday. He loooooooves disney and Star Wars so we thought this would be a great gift. Buuuut his bday is in 2 weeks so we gotta do something special to announce it to him! Any ideas? Also any suggestions on must dos ? What's the best weekend to go? I know nothing about Star Wars and Star Wars weekends so any help making this special would be truly appreciated!!

Does your son own the complete set of SW movies? That would be a great gift to announce the trip. You really need to have watched all the movies to recognize all the characters who will be roaming through the park.

Yes that was his bday gift last year. Dh and both ds spent days straight watching them all so they are on top all of that. Great thread! I'll have to read through that to help me plan it all! Thanks so much!

You may want to post your question on the SWW thread as you'll get some good ideas there. If he doesn't have a light saber, that would be good and he can collect autographs on it?

Light saber is a great idea. Also, there are tons of free SW fonts out there; you could type up a letter inviting him to come join the Jedi that weekend...

And the obvious--a new SW t-shirt to wear to the parks. I'd say a robe, but he'd probably have at least a mild heat stroke in that LOL

Definitely sun to the thread--it helped me SO much on our first SWW trip! Planning on going again in 2016--hope there will be some cool new stuff then!
