HOW TO SELL POINTS ON MY OWN

I have 2 master contracks one at okw and one at hh I need to sell my 150pts at hh is it possible to sell myself. Who would I contack to handle closing, deeds, etc. Ive talked to the timeshare store and the commision seems to be a lot of money and I thought I would try to sell myself first. Where is the best place to advertise on the net. Thanks for the help I am going to miss my 11 month window at hh.

You could certainly sell the points yourself. I would suggest registering at TUG and advertising it there for sale. You could also attempt to auction it on the net, either through eBay or one of the other services.

You will need to retain SC counsel for the handling of the closing and the registering of the deeds. I suggest that you contact the SC Bar Association for some recommendations in that regard. Once you have received a quote for services, you should be in a better position to analyze whether it makes sense financially for you to sell it rather than through a broker. Good luck

The tug recommendation is a good one. You may also want to consider checking a search engine such as "yahoo". Type in timeshares and you will find alot of sites that you can list your timeshare. There are web sites that specialize in selling timeshares by owner. My accountant advised me he sold his timeshare in Aruba this way. Also, you may want to consider using the Timeshare Closing Service, Inc. 407-370-2373 to handle the transaction. There is fee however, it is cheaper than using a broker. Good luck!
