How to reserve 2 guests on my reservation?

I am planning my trip for Dec and wanted some advice.

I am flying down to Disney with my bestie. He is going to stay with me Mon - Thurs. On Thursday, he leaves and my DH comes down for the rest of my stay.

How is this situation handled with the Magic Bands? Do I just purchase 2 park hoppers and take my two magic bands with me? Can my bestie use it for 3 day, than my hubby uses that band for the other days?

I really appreciate your help.

Joey

Your DH won't be able to use your friend's MB and tickets. They do a finger scan when you enter the parks and his finger print won't match the band.

Thanks Sue. Do you happen to know if one can book two separate magic bands for different days than. One for only 3 day park hopper, and a second one for 4 day park hopper?

Magic Bands are tied to your MDE account. All the MB's will open your resort room and can be used for charging to your room. Every guest registered to your room will get a MB.

Tickets are separate. If you add tickets to your MDE account then you have to assign each ticket to a person. Those tickets automatically go to the MB that is connected to that person. One person would be assigned the 3 day ticket and one would be assigned the 4 day ticket.

If you don't want the tickets to be assigned to one person, then you can buy them from an outside vendor and not link them to your MDE account.

Does that help?

I think what the OP wants is 3 magic bands but to have only 2 people registered in the room at a time. If they register all 3 adults at once then the third adult charge comes into play even though there won't be any more than 2 adults in the room at any one time.

Unfortunately I think the only way to get bands for all 3 guests is to register all 3 in the room. Unless you can get a band by registering your husband only after he arrives.

I think you can either:

1) Register 2 tickets to the same MB, activate/deactivate as appropriate. This way your DH can use the same MB as your friend. Going this route, DH probably couldn't get DME if he needs it.

2) Make 2 reservations and link them. I always stay DVC but I know they'll link the reservations and don't need to check in/out of the room. And this way you may get 2 MBs for yourself!

You can't register 2 person's tickets to the same MB. An MB can be linked to only one MDX account at a time. You can deactivate it, but you can't remove it from one account and re-register it on another.

Unless you are buying the DP, I don't see why you can't make two resort reservations! This would simplify it, but to get the reduced ticket rate for you, you'd have to buy all of the tickets separate from the rooms and then link them to your MBs
