Not something I would normally do but when someone personally insults you then it's a valid reason. Since you don't know what was said or why I reported the post I don't really see how you could say that. I could turn that around and ask how someone could make such an insensitive remark and be so cold-hearted.

I noticed they didn't come back after that so they may be embarrassed. That person owes me an apology but I am not holding my breath. That was below the belt and totally uncalled for. I did report it for that very reason. I would not report someone just because I disagreed with them but that was completely out of line. I've made over 5000 posts and I have never reported one before. So sad that people act like that.

Don't let them get under your skin. That's probably what they are striving for. It is so much easier said than done but sometimes just ignore them. That way they don't get attention from anyone and they don't win.

You choose to report a post when it is insulting and nasty, as it is against DIS rules. The person entered into their conversation, didn't agree with it, and was really nasty. Totally uncalled for. If you can't say anything nice...
