How to rent points?

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong category. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of some kind of document that is somewhere on this incredible resource regarding renting DVC points for our possible Date Removed trip. I have no idea how to go about finding out availability, or even how renting points works! Thanks so much for your help

As long as you are logged in, go over to the Rent/Trade Board on the DVC Boards and read the sticky threads at the top of the page.

But Date may be hard to get this late. Most members book 7 to 11 months out to get what they want. You won't be able to get free dining, either, with a DVC points stay.

And Thanksgiving through early January may already be booked up (also October for Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party).

There are also services that can make it very easy for you. Dave's site, and as of recently even the timeshare store rents points. Both are sponsors of this website.
