How To Rent a Car at a Disney Resort?

Can I just rent a car for the week and have meet someone when it is delivered to my Disney resort - Caribbean Beach? I don't want to waste time being picked up and driven somewhere else... Are there specific rental companies authorized to do that at Disney? I'd like to do this but if it's a hassle or expensive, I'll probably just use Disney buses and taxis. Thank you!

This trip, having a car would be nice for travel to/from waterparks, otherparks, downtown disney, etc. where there is not a direct route using Disney transportation.

Nope, no companies do that that I know of. You could rent from Alamo/National at the Dolphin. You can get a bus there directly from a park. Really pretty easy. All other places can sometimes send a car to take you back to their office to get the car.

Since you are staying at a Disney resort, the easiest option is to rent a car from the Car Care Center (Alamo/National) which offers a shuttle that will pick you up from any Disney hotel and take you to the Center to pick up your car.

There are also numerous car rental agencies in the DTD hotels.
Dollar is at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista (formerly the Regal Sun resort or the Grosvenor). We have rented from them many times.
You take the bus to DTD, and walk across the street. It's the first hotel on the left on Hotel Plaza Boulevard.
I frequently pick up there and drop at MCO

Although I have alos picked up and dropped off there and just incorporated it into my DTD visit time.

But the Alamo at Dolphin is easy too. Especiallly since you could walk there from Epcot or DHS. Or take a bus from any park
