DD was stamping and DS got ahold of her ink pad and put his fingertips on it. He also rubbed it on his face, but that came off because it was light. The stuff on his fingers is not coming off though. What should I use to get it off?

TIA!

Mr. Clean magic eraser works really well.

Bleach. :lmao: I'm kidding.

Try baby wipes. I use them to remove all kinds of pen ink from skin. They even work on Sharpie, so they might work for you too!

We've had luck with rubbing alcohol, spray on mist sunscreen and baking soda.

Scrub scrub scrub scrub scrub...Took 2 days to get the kiddy green stamp ink off my DD4's fingers. I finally resorted to an OXY type cleaner. At least that lightened it considerably. Needless to say the stamper set went bye byes. Good luck!

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers have formaldehyde in them...I wouldn't use them on your kids skin.

I've had good luck with rubbing alcohol for things like that. Sometimes nail polish remover too :confused3

Skin So Soft. That stuff seems to have a lot more purposes than it was ever intended to.

I second this. My oldest DD has a drawing easel that uses dry erase markers, and baby wipes clean her hands better than washing them with soap and water.

I use nail polish remover to remove Sharpie ink all the time.....it would probably work on ink from a stamp pad.

OH! OH! I have to tell you!! My new boss uses Clorax bleach wipes as HAND WIPES!!! It freaked me out when I watched her do it, then eat her lunch!! WOW! :scared1:

I do a lot of stamping, and use baby wipes to get the ink off the stamps, so it might help on DS too.

I will say, though, sometimes, it seems like nothing works, except time. As long as you have the ink so that it is not rubbing off on towels, there really isn't a whole lot of harm, except that as a mom - your son will look like he has dirty fingers. He will survive.

Rubbing alcohol. I would pour some in a dish and have him soak his fingers for a few minutes then rub his fingers with a towel

BTW the Juliensmith post was reported to the mods for having a link to a business in her signature.

Don't do this!!! I used one to get off a temporary tattoo and had raised welts all over the area. It took a few weeks for it to completely heal. I'd have extra long tub time for the next few days. It'll wear off soon enough.
