How to prevent blisters

OK, so I'm lost... I've seen the body glide (ones I've found come looking like DO sticks)... How do you use it on your feet? Just rub it around? How do you know you have enough? (My husband- not so helpful this afternoon- says probably when you slide across the floor)....

:goodvibes

:rotfl2: your husband was correct ( I know he was probably trying to be Mr smarty pants too):rolleyes1

I wish ANY of these things worked, I've reached a point of true desperation. As much as I adore Disney and other vacations I almost dread them at times because of the blisters. I just got back yesterday and after only two days into the trip I could barely walk, I was limping around everywhere in extreme pain.

I wore my good ole' tried and true sneakers, which fit the best and work best for me. I wore the good wicking socks, sometimes doubled up on socks, changed them frequently, alternated shoes, used body glide, used blister band-aids, etc. etc. NOTHING WORKS!!!!! After being on my feet walking continuously for just a couple hours I'm covered in at least two blisters per foot and within a few days there's five or more per foot. It's a horrible miserable pain.:sad:

I feel your pain, I stand up on a concrete floor at work 8 hours a day...when I get to Disney, I wear the SAME shoes I work in...and low and behold, I get BLISTERS! So, now I cut my nails about 5 days before I go, rub down the callouses, and when I get to my Hotel, I use BAND AIDS WITH the NEOSPORIN ALREADY ON THE PAD! Works like a CHARM!:woohoo: Now, if I go out to a park after 6pm, I change to sandals. Also, I sit down A LOT for long periods and rest my feet.:thumbsup2

My most recent trip to WDW was in June 2010 for 7 days,

IVY :flower1:

Not to hijack this thread but I was following your all your trip planning and condo horror stories, how did it all work out?

Maybe though you should reply to your other threads because I think a few other are also wondering what happened.

OK back to your thread.

I found some socks that had like a special zone for the area between the ball of your foot and your toes. I was just a BW Williamsburg for one day and had horrible blisters there. I'm still feeling the effects.
