Can anyone help me? I have spent 3 hours trying to personalize rumblytumbly's designs and I can't figure out for the life of me.
I am trying in Word. I have tried to enter text box and it leaves white edges.
Do I need to download something else? I am totally clueless.

Please! Please tell me what to do. TIA

I was wondering too. There are a few disigns I want to use, but didn't want to bother anyone to do my pesonalizations!!

What designs are you looking at? If you get the designers permission I can try to personalize it for you.

The designer, rumblytumbly, says on her thread we can use them.

I am looking at the "our family on a safari". I am wanting it to say Conley Family............"

and the Mickey head with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, etc, with Momma in the center written in pink.

a few others but that's what I have been working on and can't seem to figure it out.

Thank you for helping.

I just personalized a few things this weekend.

If you are using windows you can use paint to add in a text box to personalize. You can chose whether to have a white box, or a tranparent box that you can't see.

I'm a Mac user and found a freeware program called "Seashore" that works the same way as Paint, but has a few more bells and whistles. You can add text there too that just goes over your design and doesn't leave a white box.

To get the "edges" to disappear on the text box in Word, right click on the text box, you should get a little menu that will pop up and one of the choices should be "Format Text Box" click on that and go to the tab marked "Colors and Lines" then for the section called "Line" pick "No Line". That should take care of it. Good luck!

Okay...don't laugh but I've been using Excel. Never did get the hang of doing creative stuff in Word.

I've even done candy wrappers in Excel.

Since I've found the Disboards, I've been playing around with t-shirt designs in Excel. I've inserting the picture to the document and for the text, I've been using the WordArt toolbar. Once I have my caption (name, title, etc.) done in WordArt, I can click on it and drag it over my image and it doesn't leave a white box.

The only thing I've found that Excel can't do is the bubble letters with the background pictures.

I did one! I did one! :cool1:  :cool1:

That was just inserting a name. I can't change words in a design but at least I can add.

I meant to say THANK YOU for helping me figure that out. Now if I can remember how to do it again. :rotfl2:
