Here is my situation. I've booked 2 rooms for our upcoming vacation. Ours at the Polynesian and the other at the Grand Floridian. Me, wife, and son are in Poly room and my 2 sisters and 2 grand kids in the Grand Floridian room. In the GF room I would like one of my sisters magic band to be charged to our room. That would allow me to pay for hers and anything else charged to thier room would be paid for by my other sister. Is there a way to set up this kind of account? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I'm sure you could put your card on one of your sisters accounts for the trip. You'll probably need to go to the GF front desk and have the cast member there update your sister's reservation/account with your card to cover her charges. You'll need to be there to authorize the card for charging. I doubt you can have the charges go directly to your Poly room, but they would instead go to the card directly - subtle difference, as you'd get the result you're looking for.

To add, your sister would just need a pin to charge her MB. It doesn’t need to be the same as your pin, even if the card is your card.

Another option is to call up your credit card company add her as an authorized user they will send a card in her name. You can ask for it back at the end of the trip.

That would work, too. But the sisters would still have to go to the front desk to make sure 2 different cards are set up properly on their room, as they seem to want to do. But it does take the OP out of the mix!

Are you intending to pay for the specific sister's dining as well? What happens if the group dines together? You will have to school your sister on how to have her meal only charged to the band.

As previously mentioned, your sister can have a card on file (with her pin) to pick up her charges. You can supply that card but will probably have to do it in person when your sister checks in.

Have you considered just giving her a Disney gift card?

If the group dines together (and I assume isn't on a Dining Plan} just tell the server she is paying separately when you place your order.

Another option os to add her to your room,,yes she can be in two rokms as long as not primary...and give her a card or band from your room with charging ability.

Thar can cause issues with magic bands, even when not a lead guest.

You can not be checked in to two resorts at the same time…but they can, if room, add her under a middle name, and get a key card that can then be used for charging.

Then they will be charged $35 a day for the extra person in the room.

This is all needlessly complicated. Just give sister a big Disney gift card toward her trip right from the start and let her take care of things. I do this for my sister all the time. She wouldn't be able to join us if I didn't help her out. This way no one but the two of us even needs to know what's happening.

There is no $35 a day fee for an “extra” person in a DVC room booked with points. I’m assuming since this is a DVC forum that the OP booked both rooms on points.
I apologize. I didn't notice what board it was on. The "new posts" section does not separate the posts by forum. Sorry for your trouble. Polynesian and Grand Floridian both also could indicate regular hotel accommodations. Additionally, DVC rooms can be booked for cash, in which case the $35 fee does apply. I do it all the time.

I stand by the rest of my post.
